Serbian IT Association Launches Human Resources Working Group

The Serbian IT Association has launched a new working group dedicated to human resources (HR), with the first meeting held yesterday, attended by representatives from more than 15 IT member companies.

The Human Resources Working Group brings together HR professionals from member companies to jointly exchange knowledge, identify key challenges, and formulate concrete recommendations to improve HR practices within the domestic IT ecosystem.

In the first phase, the focus will be on administrative and regulatory topics, including:

  • recruitment,

  • personnel records,

  • payroll processing,

  • labor law issues,

  • compliance with applicable legislation.

In the following phases, the working group will also address strategic topics such as:

  • talent development,

  • youth employment,

  • employer branding,

  • employee retention in the IT sector.

The group will also serve as a platform for:

  • sharing best HR practices among members,

  • dialogue with institutions on regulatory issues,

  • creating joint initiatives and recommendations for improving the legislative framework,

  • conducting research and analyzing HR trends in the IT industry.

The Association’s Board of Directors has decided that the working group will be led by Jelena Sokić, Lead People Advisory Specialist at EPAM Systems.

According to the needs of its members, the Serbian IT Association will continue to form thematic working groups aimed at strengthening cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint influence on the development of the IT sector in Serbia.
