SITA at the Association of Serbian Banks Seminar

People, AI, and Juniors: Key Messages from SITA at the Association of Serbian Banks Seminar

Organized by the Association of Serbian Banks, a significant professional seminar titled “AI – ME: People on the Front Line” was recently held. The event brought together key stakeholders from the banking sector and the IT industry to exchange experiences on digital transformation. The participation of the Serbian IT Association (SITA) drew particular attention.

Our association was represented by Ana Jovanović, who, through a compelling presentation, highlighted SITA’s role in the ecosystem and provided deep insights into current trends shaping the labor market.

Youth, Habits, and Market Reality

The focus of Ana’s presentation was on the upcoming generations. She discussed the specific habits of young talents and the challenges they face when entering the professional world. At a time when the market is evolving rapidly, understanding the needs of juniors is crucial for every company, including those in the banking sector.

“Our mission at SITA is not just to track trends, but to actively solve problems. We are focused on concrete measures that help juniors bridge the gap between education and employment, while ensuring that Artificial Intelligence becomes a tool that empowers the workforce rather than threatens it.” – Ana emphasized during her session.

Two Days of Learning and Networking

Ana and her colleague Marta Jovanović attended the full program of the seminar, following panels that addressed the most sensitive topics of today’s industry. Through interactive sessions, many questions were raised regarding where we truly stand in the transformation process.

Key topics covered in the panels included:

  • People at the Center of Transformation: A reminder that behind every algorithm and process, there is a human being.

  • Financial Literacy as a Foundation of Economic Resilience: A panel discussion on how education builds a more resilient society.

  • The Pitfalls of Using AI: A critical look at ethics and security in the world of Artificial Intelligence.

  • How Compensation and Benefits Strategies Build or Destroy Employer Brands: Analyzing the direct impact on company reputation.

  • A New Era of Behavioral Real-Time Assessment in Banking: Moving from risk management to competency evaluation.

Conclusion: Toward a More Resilient Market

The seminar confirmed the vital importance of cooperation between the IT sector and financial institutions. SITA continues to implement activities aimed at strengthening the position of youth and integrating AI solutions in a way that brings long-term stability to the Serbian labor market.

We would like to thank the Association of Serbian Banks for the invitation and excellent organization. We return with new ideas and even greater motivation to continue improving the local IT sector!
