HR Working Group Meeting Held at Divčibare

Exchange of Practices and Defining New Initiatives within the SITA HR Working Group

At the beginning of November, we held our regular HR working group meeting in a different environment – at Maglian Campus on Divčibare. Maglian is one of the first members of SITA, and we are proud of our ongoing collaboration with them, as well as the opportunity to spend time in a space that encourages creativity, connection, and distance from the everyday city routine.

We began the program with working sessions led by Jelena Sokić, Lead People Advisory Specialist at EPAM Systems and coordinator of our HR working group. At the start, we revisited the topics discussed during the previous meeting and reviewed feedback following the implementation of certain practices within the companies that are part of this group. Afterwards, we divided into several teams and defined the key challenges we want to focus on in the upcoming period. An open dialogue about real-life situations enabled everyone to gain concrete insights and ideas applicable in their daily work.

Everyone had the opportunity to share challenges or uncertainties from their daily work and receive advice from colleagues from other companies. The exchange of experiences and best practices helped us clearly define priorities for the development of the HR sector within the IT industry in Serbia. Based on this, we identified next steps and concrete actions that we will work on together.

In the second part of the meeting, we were joined by Željka Zelenović-Vuković and Tanja Bjelobrk, representatives of the National Employment Service. We believe that cooperation with institutions is of great importance for improving HR practices and the labor market, which is why it is important for us to include them in the topics and initiatives we work on.

The rest of the day, after the working sessions, was dedicated to networking and getting to know the members of our working group better. We organized a nature walk, social games, wine tasting, and ended the day with a quiz.

Moments like these, away from the office, remind us how important it is to build relationships, not just projects. When people connect, collaboration becomes easier, faster, and more fulfilling. We return from Divčibare richer not only in new ideas and plans, but also with a sense of community and support that makes our HR network truly unique.
