We Have Officially Launched the CFO Club Within SITA
Through our daily communication with members, we recognized the need to build a strong community within the finance sector of IT companies. In such a community, members can openly discuss challenges and uncertainties, while also reaching shared conclusions and initiating new practices through the exchange of experiences.

To mark the launch of the club, we organized the first meeting in the form of a panel discussion, intended exclusively for members of the Serbian IT Association.
The program was opened by Nikola Mijailović, Director of the Joberty platform, who presented the current state of the IT labor market. Nikola provided an extremely insightful overview of the changes that have occurred over the past few years, an analysis of salary trends across different positions, and predictions for the period ahead.
Following his presentation, a panel discussion deepened the topic and covered a range of related issues. The panel was moderated by Aleksandar Nedeljković, Director of Business Development at Mainstream, and featured the following panelists:
-
Drenka Mioković, Director of Company Administration at Endava
-
Dragana Varagić-Đokić, Associate Partner at EY
-
Lyubov Goncharenko, Finance Director for Emerging Markets at Luxoft

The discussion focused on several key topics, including:
-
current trends in hiring, retention, and workforce planning for 2025;
-
budgeting strategies for 2026 amid a volatile and uncertain macroeconomic environment (VUCA);
-
headcount optimization, compensation planning, and talent retention under shifting global demand;
-
Serbia’s IT cost and value proposition following the removal of tax incentives;
-
regional comparisons of tax frameworks and lessons from other markets;
-
new business models and proposals for enhancing collaboration between IT companies and the state.

After the initial round of questions for the panelists, the discussion evolved into an open conversation in which attendees actively participated, deepening topics through their questions and sharing of experiences. This event laid the groundwork for the future activities of the CFO Club, which will, through regular meetings, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives, contribute to advancing financial management and operations within Serbia’s IT sector. We believe the club will become a place where ideas turn into action and where a strong and sustainable IT ecosystem is built collaboratively.
