Opportunities for Serbian IT Companies in the U.S. – Joint Approach, Global Success<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Serbian IT Association, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade<\/strong> <\/a>and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia<\/strong><\/a>, organized a major business event titled \u201cOpportunities for Serbian IT Companies in the U.S. Market\u201d<\/em>, held at Lo\u017eionica<\/strong> in Belgrade.<\/p>\n

More than 150 representatives of IT companies, founders, directors, business developers, and experts gathered with a clear goal which is to gain concrete guidance on how to strategically, sustainably, and successfully enter the U.S. market and develop collaborations with American clients.<\/p>\n

The event featured speakers from Serbia as well as high-level representatives from the United States, who shared first-hand experiences and spoke about concrete steps companies should take \u2013 from selecting the appropriate legal structure and market entry model, to aligning with regulatory and tax requirements, building credibility, branding, and establishing long-term partnerships in the U.S.<\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, Marko Vu\u010deti\u0107<\/strong>, Director of the Serbian IT Association, emphasized that internationalization of business is a strategic priority for the domestic IT industry.
“We believe that the next step in the development of our ecosystem is not individual success, but a coordinated approach. That is why we launched a working group within the Association, which fosters synergy among small, medium, and large companies. Our goal is to transfer the experience of large global systems to the rest of the ecosystem, to create opportunities for mentorship, knowledge exchange, and joint projects, and to approach demanding markets like the U.S. in a coordinated and strategic way,”<\/em> said Vu\u010deti\u0107.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted that the Serbian IT Association actively works on connecting the domestic industry with relevant international stakeholders, creating a platform through which members can access global markets more quickly and securely.<\/p>\n

Following Marko Vu\u010deti\u0107, opening remarks were delivered by Mihajlo Po\u0161ti\u0107<\/strong>, Director of DXC Technology and Chairman of the Board of the Serbian IT Association, and Aleksandar Titolo<\/strong>, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.<\/p>\n

Mihajlo Po\u0161ti\u0107<\/strong> pointed out the importance of institutional and strategic support for companies planning to enter the U.S. market.<\/p>\n

“The U.S. market is one of the largest and most dynamic in the world, with countless opportunities for growth and development. For Serbian IT companies, it holds particular significance. A large part of our exports already goes there, demonstrating how competitive our products and services are on a global level,”<\/em> said Po\u0161ti\u0107.<\/p>\n

Aleksandar Titolo<\/strong> emphasized the importance of a strategic approach.<\/p>\n

“Today I am here with a clear message. The U.S. and Serbia have entered a new era of bilateral relations. Last August, we had historic high-level meetings between U.S. and Serbian officials. We announced a new strategic dialogue between our two countries and opened a premier American center here at Lo\u017eionica as a symbol of our growing partnership,”<\/em> said Titolo.<\/p>\n

During the panel and interactive discussion, topics were opened such as selecting the appropriate U.S. state for company registration, tax implications, contractual relationships with clients, and ways to build trust and reputation in a highly competitive market. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange experiences, and establish direct contacts with the speakers and institutional representatives.<\/p>\n

The high level of interest with over 150 participants during the brief open registration period of only a few days clearly demonstrated how important the topic of internationalization and entry into the U.S. market is for the domestic IT community. The energy in the room, the number of questions, and the active participation of the audience confirmed a strong demand for this type of event format, combining strategic insight with practical, actionable advice.<\/p>\n
