Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between the Serbian IT Association and the Ni\u0161 Science and Technology Park, Along with the Opening of the YugoLogo Exhibition<\/strong><\/h3>\n

DataArt<\/strong>, the Serbian IT Association (SITA)<\/strong>, and YugoLogo<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Ni\u0161 Science and Technology Park<\/strong>, joined forces to organize a creative exhibition showcasing the logos of companies and institutions from the IT sector during the second half of the 20th century in the former Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n

A Tribute to the IT Legacy of the Former Yugoslavia<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cBy the early 1960s, computing had become the pillar of scientific and technological development in the former Yugoslavia, laying the foundation for banking, science, arts, and education. Through this exhibition, we aim to pay tribute to the institutions and enthusiasts of computer technology in the region,\u201d said Ognjen Rankovi\u0107<\/strong>, the Belgrade-based designer and creator of Yugo.logo<\/strong>, which gathers hundreds of graphic designs or logos from various ex-Yugoslav companies. \u201cThis is the first Yugo.logo exhibition in Serbia, and it stands out for its focus on IT heritage. As part of the long-term project, exhibitions have already been successfully held in Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bosnia,\u201d added Ognjen.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will offer a unique opportunity to explore the visual legacy of the IT industry<\/strong> in the region, featuring iconic logos and brand identities from companies and institutes that helped shape the technological landscape of the time.<\/p>\n

Strengthening IT Collaboration in Serbia<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As part of the event, the Serbian IT Association<\/strong> and Ni\u0161 Science and Technology Park<\/strong> signed a Memorandum of Cooperation<\/strong> aimed at fostering innovation, facilitating knowledge exchange, and driving collaborative projects to strengthen Serbia\u2019s IT sector.<\/p>\n

We invite all tech enthusiasts, designers, and history lovers to visit the YugoLogo<\/strong> exhibition and experience the unique visual heritage of the former Yugoslav IT industry.<\/p>\n

In our relations with clients and during software development, as a partner for progress, we always emphasize that people come first<\/strong>. Through the IT Museum DataArt<\/strong>, a global project led by our colleague Aleksej Pomigalov<\/strong>, we wish to honor the engineers and companies who laid the foundations of the industry that enabled our progress and development. This is why we are particularly interested in the IT legacy of the former Yugoslavia, as part of a global project worth attention,\u201d stated Marina Varzar<\/strong>, Director of DataArt Serbia<\/strong> and a member of the Board of Directors<\/strong> of the Serbian IT Association (SITA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through initiatives like this, the Serbian IT Association (SITA)<\/strong> aims to honor the visionaries who paved the way, while also connecting the community through a shared cultural and technological identity. This is an opportunity to reflect on the journey we have made and strengthen our belief in the potential that lies ahead,\u201d said Marko Vu\u010deti\u0107<\/strong>, Director of the Serbian IT Association<\/strong>, expressing his satisfaction with the signing of the cooperation agreement with the Ni\u0161 Science and Technology Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the dozens of logos showcased at the exhibition were those from computer manufacturers such as Mihajlo Pupin Institute<\/strong> in Belgrade and Elektronska Industrija Ni\u0161<\/strong>, early users like Maribor’s TAM<\/strong> and Zastava<\/strong>, software developers Novkabel<\/strong> and Velebit<\/strong>, importers of electronics from abroad, and Information Agencies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The organizers would like to express their gratitude to Flow Ninja<\/strong> and the Crveni Krst Municipality<\/strong> in Ni\u0161, as well as the Ni\u0161 Science and Technology Park<\/strong>, which houses the Museum of Industrial and Technological Heritage<\/strong>. The museum boasts over 400 exhibits, produced by the RR Institute<\/strong> and Elektronska Industrija<\/strong> since 1948, including televisions, radios, and the first computers produced by EI Ni\u0161<\/strong>.
