Serbian IT Association Connects Tech Sector and Leading Banks Through Constructive Dialogue
Organized by the SITA CFO club, which gathers leading tech experts, an exclusive roundtable meeting was held, bringing together representatives of our member companies and executives from the leading financial institutions in the domestic market: Yettel Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, and OTP Bank. This event marks an important step toward fostering synergy between the tech and banking sectors in Serbia.
The meeting was successfully led by Vasily Markov, Director of Way4Services and Coordinator of the CFO Club working group within the Serbian IT Association (SITA). At the very beginning, representatives from Yettel, Raiffeisen, and OTP Bank presented their operations, visions, and strategic goals regarding their support for the digital economy.

The working part of the meeting was divided into three strategic blocks addressing the most critical issues in daily operations and long-term planning:
Block 1: Financial Regulation, Compliance & AML/KYC in Practice
Participants analyzed the challenges in implementing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes in detail. Experiences were shared on how technological innovations can accelerate these processes while maintaining maximum legal compliance with both domestic and international standards.
Block 2: Tailored Credit Products & Corporate B2B Partnerships
The focus of this block was on creating flexible financial instruments tailored specifically for the IT sector. Bank representatives demonstrated a strong willingness to customize their credit products to meet the unique needs of tech companies, opening doors for direct B2B partnerships.
Block 3: Tripartite Communication & Relationship with the Regulator
The discussion highlighted the importance of a coordinated approach involving IT companies, commercial banks, and the National Bank of Serbia as the supreme regulator. It was concluded that an open dialogue reduces administrative barriers and accelerates the implementation of modern fin-tech solutions.

Conclusions, Action Items & Official Next Steps
At the end of the meeting, clear conclusions were drawn and concrete action plans were defined. The Serbian IT Association will form dedicated working sub-groups in the coming period to work on implementing the agreed-upon initiatives, aiming to ease operations for member companies and enhance collaboration with financial institutions.
