Serbian IT Association Receives Recognition from ITS as Strategic Partner in the Development of IT Education and Industry
The Higher School of Professional Studies for Information Technology (ITS) held a graduation ceremony for its students, during which awards were also presented to partners who made significant contributions in 2025 to the development of IT education and strengthening the connection between academia and the IT industry.
Among the award recipients was the Serbian IT Association (SITA), which received the recognition
“Strategic Partner in the Development of IT Education and Industry 2025”. The award was accepted on behalf of the Association by its Director, Marko Vučetić.
In its citation, ITS highlighted the long-standing collaboration, ongoing support, and significant contribution of the Serbian IT Association to the development of the IT sector, the improvement of education quality, and the strengthening of the connection between educational institutions and the real needs of the modern IT industry. The Association’s role in developing relevant competencies, increasing graduate employability, and promoting dialogue between academia and the IT sector was particularly emphasized.
Commenting on the award, SITA Director Marko Vučetić stated:
“We see this recognition as confirmation that collaboration between education and the IT industry produces concrete and measurable results. The Serbian IT Association will continue to be a strong partner to educational institutions, with a clear goal of jointly contributing to the development of high-quality study programs, relevant knowledge and skills, and better preparation of young people for a dynamic and global labor market. We are grateful to ITS for their trust, openness to cooperation, and shared vision for developing the IT ecosystem in Serbia.”
The Serbian IT Association thanks the Higher School of Professional Studies for Information Technology for this recognition and will continue, together with its members and partners, to actively work on connecting education, industry, and innovation to further develop the IT sector in the Republic of Serbia.
