Memorandum of Cooperation Signed by SITA and NSZ

Cooperation with the National Employment Service

A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Serbian IT Association and the National Employment Service – Belgrade Branch Office was signed on November 26, 2025, at the premises of the Serbian IT Association in Belgrade. This agreement represents an important step toward strengthening the connection between institutions that directly influence workforce development and the IT labor market, as well as toward establishing more organized, transparent, and efficient support for all stakeholders in the industry.

The Memorandum defines a set of joint activities through which the two institutions will work on improving employment opportunities and enhancing the competencies of candidates interested in IT careers. Planned activities include workshops and training programs for youth and unemployed individuals, job fairs, career-guidance initiatives, as well as direct coordination between IT companies and the National Employment Service to ensure faster and more accurate recruitment. Special attention will be devoted to promoting open positions and bringing the real needs of the industry closer to the wider community, including universities, high schools, and organizations focused on developing digital skills.

Marko Vučetić, Director of the Serbian IT Association, highlighted the importance of this agreement for the further development of the domestic tech ecosystem:
“We want this cooperation to raise the level of awareness among candidates, support our companies in reaching well-prepared professionals, and encourage the development of programs that will, in the long run, strengthen Serbia’s technological ecosystem. Our goal is to build an environment where talent can grow, remain in the country, and contribute to the expansion of the domestic tech scene.”

Following the official signing of the Memorandum, a working meeting was held between representatives of the Serbian IT Association and the National Employment Service, during which the next steps in the collaboration were defined. One of the key outcomes was the agreement to organize a virtual job fair that will enable candidates from all parts of Serbia to connect with IT companies without needing to attend in person. Additionally, a visit for young people to the premises of the Serbian IT Association was planned, giving them the opportunity to learn more about the Association’s work, hear insights from industry professionals, and participate in interactive sessions focused on real career paths in the IT sector.
