Signed Memorandum of Cooperation with Singidunum University

New Partnership: Serbian IT Association and Singidunum University Together for the Development of Young People in the IT Sector

The Serbian IT Association and Singidunum University have signed a memorandum of cooperation that opens new opportunities for connecting academia and industry, with a special focus on student development and strengthening the IT sector in Serbia.

The memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. Milovan Stanišić, President of Singidunum University, and Marko Vučetić, Director of the Serbian IT Association.

The cooperation will include a series of activities aimed at providing students with practical knowledge and experience, while offering companies the opportunity to meet and engage young talents. Some of the key areas of collaboration include:

  • organizing guest lectures and presentations by Association members,

  • implementing joint workshops and case study projects,

  • establishing student internship and mentoring programs,

  • connecting students with companies through projects and initiatives,

  • sharing knowledge and promoting joint activities across relevant communication channels.

A special emphasis in the memorandum is placed on student internships, which will allow students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university in real business environments, thereby developing practical skills and preparing for a successful career start.

After the signing, the first meeting was held between representatives of the Serbian IT Association and Miloš Mravik, Vice-Rector for Business Relations. The meeting covered the initial steps agreed upon for cooperation on the first of many joint events, which is expected to take place by the end of this calendar year.

This agreement confirms the joint commitment of Singidunum University and the Serbian IT Association to foster innovation, develop highly skilled professionals, and actively contribute to strengthening the IT community in Serbia.

“We believe that this cooperation will further strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, while also opening new doors for students to achieve professional success in one of today’s most dynamic sectors – the IT industry,” said Marko Vučetić, Director of the Association.

The Serbian IT Association continues to build partnerships with leading educational and business institutions with the goal of improving education, supporting innovation, and enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic economy.
