SITA and Endava Host FON Students: Kickoff of a Joint Event Series and a Lecture on AI Tools

The Serbian IT Association (SITA) premises hosted the first in a series of events under our newly established collaboration with the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON). Following the recently signed memorandum of cooperation, the “Open Doors” event was the perfect opportunity to welcome ambitious students and showcase everything SITA together with its founders, including Endava is preparing for young talent. This marks the first of many joint initiatives planned with FON, aimed at directly connecting the academic community with leading IT minds and practical knowledge.

We kicked off the day with a tour of Ložionica, which has become the epicenter of the city’s most exciting tech, business, and creative events.

Following the tour, we presented SITA’s work and key initiatives dedicated to improving the position of young talent in the market. We also shared an exclusive announcement about our upcoming AI Academy, launching this September, which aims to equip youth with cutting-edge knowledge in artificial intelligence. Additionally, we highlighted our advocacy efforts for introducing tax incentives designed to motivate companies to hire IT juniors more easily and quickly at the start of their careers.

Guest Lecture: How to Merge a Traditional Skillset with AI Tools?

The main segment of the event was reserved for an educational session delivered by Endava, one of SITA’s founding companies. We had the great pleasure of hosting Stevan Đorđević, a Scrum Master at Endava, who delivered a highly relevant and practical lecture titled: “Career Upgrade: How to Merge a Traditional Skillset with AI Tools?”

Through real-world examples and years of experience in Agile delivery environments, Stevan demystified what is truly expected of junior professionals in today’s IT industry.
