Working Groups

CFO Business Club

The CFO Business Club is a closed working group of Chief Financial Officers from IT companies within the Serbian IT Association, focused on the financial, strategic, and regulatory leadership of IT businesses.

The Club connects industry leaders to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in a real business environment.

What we cover:

  • Tax incentives and the predictability of the tax system in Serbia – analysis of existing and new tax policies, as well as their impact on the IT sector.
  • New incentive models and engagement with public authorities – active participation in negotiations and the development of supportive solutions for IT companies.
  • Current financial topics – exchange of experiences and discussions on trends in cost management, profitability, and budgeting.
  • Strategic topics – growth planning, risk management, M&A, and investments in the IT industry.
  • Exclusive discussions for CFOs – a dedicated forum for debate, idea exchange, and practical solutions to everyday challenges.

The CFO Business Club is a place where financial leaders in the IT sector shape the future of their companies and the broader ecosystem through experience, analysis, and strategic dialogue.

HR Working Group

The HR Working Group brings together leading companies and professionals dedicated to advancing HR practices and workforce development in Serbia’s dynamic tech sector. The group is intended to be a hub for collaboration, advocacy, and innovative talent initiatives.

Our Journey So Far

With three productive meetings, including a successful team-building event, the HR Working Group has set the goal to establish itself as a proactive force in the community.

Our main activities to date include:

  • Strategic Partnership with the National Labour Agency
We have built a strong connection with the National Employment Service of Serbia, enabling us to better align our recruitment efforts with the support and opportunities NLA provides. Additionally, we are working on improving the hiring processes and making it more efficient.
  • Virtual Job Fair
In our commitment to bridging the gap between talent and opportunity, we organized our first collaborative virtual job fair, which attracted over 400 visitors. This event provided a digital platform for job seekers and employers to connect, and explore career opportunities in the tech industry.
  • Collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Recognizing the importance of international talent, we have initiated cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to streamline and accelerate the mprocessing of applications for skilled foreign professionals. This effort aims to make Serbia an even more attractive destination for global talent.

What’s Next

Looking ahead, the HR Working Group is excited to share that we are planning a new educational initiative focused on artificial intelligence for recent university graduates.

This program aims to offer practical learning experiences and exposure to real-world AI applications, at the same time giving participants the opportunity to develop AI skills relevant to the current demand.

Through expert guidance, hands-on projects, and opportunities to connect with leading employers, we hope to support and shape the next generation of tech professionals in Serbia.

Synergy Group for Large and Small Enterprises

This initiative is a strategic response to the market’s need for better optimization of existing capacities within Serbia. We believe our industry’s greatest strength lies in complementary competencies: while large systems provide stability and handle high-volume projects, small and medium companies offer agility and highly specialized expertise.

The working group is led by Simo Vuleta, an IT leader with over 15 years of experience in domestic and international companies. His expertise in managing technology teams and his knowledge of diverse business models provide the group with a clear vision and operational efficiency.

Goals and Strategic Directions

The working group is dedicated to practical outcomes that directly impact the business success of its members:

  • Joint Performance on Large-Scale Projects: Our primary objective is to ensure that no business opportunity is lost due to individual capacity constraints. If a small company receives an inquiry for a major international project that exceeds its current resources, the working group facilitates uniting with other SITA members. Instead of declining the work, companies join forces to form a team capable of meeting the most complex client demands.
  • Collaborative Tendering: Connecting companies to meet high-level tender requirements and criteria, both in domestic and international markets.
  • Resource and Knowledge Exchange: Establishing formal models for the efficient exchange of experts and sharing niche technological know-how (expertise sharing).
  • Capacity Mapping: Developing a comprehensive service portfolio database of all members to enable the rapid identification of ideal partners for specific business opportunities.

Building a Sustainable Ecosystem

By forming this group, SITA is building a sustainable IT ecosystem where a company’s size is no longer a barrier, but an advantage leveraged through smart networking. Members gain the opportunity to expand their market reach, optimize their internal resources, and participate in high-value projects that would otherwise be out of reach for a single entity.
