Connecting IT Ecosystems: South Korea Visiting the Members of the Serbian IT Association

The Serbian IT Association had the pleasure of participating in the organization of a visit by a delegation of South Korean companies from Busan, brought to Serbia by BIPA, together with Ložionica. This initiative is part of a broader program of international cooperation and exchange of experiences between two dynamic IT markets: Serbia, which is recording constant growth in software service exports, and South Korea, one of the world’s leading technology powers.
Our role in this project was to ensure connections between the visiting companies and relevant Serbian partners, as well as to create a platform for networking through B2B meetings in Belgrade and Novi Sad. We are especially proud that our member companies took part in these meetings, presenting the strength and potential of the Serbian IT industry with their expertise and experience.

In Belgrade, the meetings included our members Sperasoft, ARS Embedded Systems, Agile Software Design, Finiti i Osiguranik, while in Novi Sad the hosts were EPAM i IT Engine. The meetings were structured around company presentations and introductions, followed by Q&A sessions and networking, which enabled direct exchange of ideas and the opening of concrete collaboration talks.
During their stay, the guests from South Korea had the opportunity to discover the potential of the Serbian IT industry, which today generates more than €3.7 billion in annual exports and employs tens of thousands of highly educated professionals. The meetings showed that there is significant room for cooperation in hardware and software, financial solutions, gaming, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.

Following the event, the next steps for future cooperation were agreed upon. We believe this event is an important step toward strengthening international ties—not only between companies but also between entire ecosystems. The Serbian IT Association will continue to support such initiatives, as we believe that opening the domestic market is the best way to build a more competitive and innovative future together.
